SEA Youth Summit Turkiye was Successfully Held Attended by Philippine Ambassador and 24 Countries

Kabarbaru, Istanbul – The Philippine Ambassador to Turkey attended the SEA Youth Summit 2024, an influential initiative led by the National Youth Council (NYC) Indonesia. Held in Istanbul, this event gathered young leaders from Southeast Asia to discuss, share ideas, and formulate concrete steps to address regional challenges in areas such as the economy, education, environment, technology, and world peace.
Initiated by Fauzul Azhim, Chairman of NYC Indonesia’s Turkish Representative Council, the SEA Youth Summit 2024 provided a platform for Southeast Asian youth to build a sense of community, foster collaboration, and drive real initiatives toward better regional development.
In his opening remarks, Fauzul Azhim expressed his hope that this summit would serve as a starting point for strengthening ASEAN solidarity through youth involvement and for promoting world peace through the principles of Indonesia’s Pancasila.
“The goal of this summit is to form an ASEAN youth community in Turkey, discuss multilateral ASEAN-Turkey relations, and advocate for global peace in line with Indonesia’s Pancasila values,” Fauzul explained.
SEA Youth Summit 2024, chaired by Zalfa Khansa Nabila, also Head of NYC Indonesia’s youth division, welcomed the Philippine Ambassador, who expressed high appreciation for NYC Indonesia’s efforts to strengthen regional cooperation and promote ASEAN-Turkey relations.
“The presence of the Philippine Ambassador is a sign that Southeast Asian countries fully support this collaborative initiative and look forward to tangible outcomes from our youth,” stated Zalfa Khansa Nabila.
“We hope this SEA Youth Summit becomes a platform for ASEAN youth to generate innovative ideas that can enhance regional solidarity,” She said.
During the summit, the Philippine Ambassador emphasized the essential role of youth in building a sustainable future.
“ASEAN has tremendous potential to become a global power, and initiatives like the SEA Youth Summit are critical in ensuring our youth are prepared to meet these challenges,” he said.
The event drew 150 participants from 8 ASEAN countries and 14 other nations, youth organization leaders, and distinguished speakers from various sectors. SEA Youth Summit aims to build stronger bonds among ASEAN youth in addressing global challenges through unity and innovation.
A General Assembly session during the summit formalized the establishment of a Southeast Asian youth community in Turkey. In this forum, Fauzul Azhim was elected as President of the South East Asia Youth Community in Turkey.
